A growing dairy farming business in Cheshire has secured a £95,000 funding package through Alchemy Business Finance to support herd expansion and infrastructure improvements.
The family-run business had recently secured additional milk supply opportunities but required funding quickly in order to purchase livestock and upgrade feeding equipment ahead of winter.
The client approached a high street bank initially but experienced delays due to lengthy underwriting processes and concerns around seasonal agricultural income.
Following an introduction through a finance broker, Alchemy worked directly with the business to understand the operational plans and projected increase in milk production.
Funding totalling £95,000 was structured against existing farm assets, enabling the business to secure additional cattle and install upgraded feeding systems without disrupting working capital.
The transaction completed within days, allowing the farmer to proceed with livestock purchases before prices increased further.
The business expects the expansion to improve efficiency and long-term profitability while helping support succession plans involving the next generation of the family.
Dean Pollen said:
“Agriculture doesn’t always fit neatly into traditional lending models. Our role is to understand the practical side of farming businesses and provide solutions that work for the client, not against them.”
Alchemy Business Finance has seen growing demand for livestock and infrastructure funding as farming businesses continue investing in productivity and operational resilience.
